It seems months since I last posted. Maybe it has been. Time bends. Weeks ago Kid and I were doing our own magazine feature, the Kelpie’s of Lake Huron, while taking walks along the north and east shore of that great lake with our kelpie Dingo dog. Eastern Ontario is new to me, having never been east of Thunder Bay until recent years. Kid and I followed the metamorphic bedrock and greenstone bands to Sudbury before turning south to the sedimentary limestones of southern Ontario and nestling quietly between three of the five Great Lakes.
Oh yes, Canada. Crossing an imaginary line between one part of a continent to another. I have three days to settle into place before flying across the continent and into Cascadia for a week with soul tribe, not knowing what might come of sitting in circle with a big handful of beautiful souls with drums and rattles, pens and paper.
